C.O. visit Tuesday

For tonight I am only taking notes on our C.O.'s part tonight, since taking notes at night meetings are more than a struggle.
Acquiring an obedient heart, is it possible?

So the inner person, is it possible to be obedient from the heart?
1 Joh 5:3... it's not burdensome.
Everyone is trying to be independent and disobedient in this world. so it makes it a challenge for us.
you go to a doc office and everyone has the flu. everyone is coughing and hacking. could you then have the flu just cause you were there? yeap
1) PRAY for an obedient heart!
Ps 51:10... create in me, a pure heart...
David prayed for it
1 Kings 3:9... grant your servant an obedient heart...
solomon prayed for it.
whatever the condition of our heart is right now. WE CAN IMPROVE ON IT.
But we have to be responsive to his help. BUT will we? Jehovah is offering his help, but will we accept it?
Some feel, they have strayed to far out of line. Even if you heart is out of line at this moment, we are NOT hopeless.
Example, Manny, he was raised in the truth, then left and got way out there, involved with the demons, he became so heartless, he even committed murder. he was imprisoned. is it possible he could one day have an obedient heart?
2 Chron 3:6... made his own son pass through the fire. he did on a grand scale what was bad in Jehovah's eyes...
GRAND scale.
& 12.. in his distress, he begged Jehovah for a favor... he kept praying and Jehovah resorted him to his kingdom...
Jehovah isn't fooled, he can read the heart. Menassah repented.
it wasn't wonderful over night. he most likely had some issues to deal with. all the children he passed through the fire and so on. but he changed his ways, and we will see him in the paradise.
Jehovah is willing to help us. Not one of us did what Menassah did.
5 things Jehovah gives to us to help us to strengthen our heart
prayer
meditation
correction and counsel
good associations
elder arrangement.
pray constantly. Jehovah is never too preoccupied to listen to our prayers.
we maybe become to preoccupied to speak to him but he isn't to us, and we don't have anything like what he has to do. He causes to become.
Prayer is a real gift from Jehovah.
Mediation. daily, on God's word. We need to minimize distractions. Lengthening our attention span. if our attention span is 5 minutes, it is a good place to start. if we need to, use an egg time. then gradually lengthen our span to 6 minutes, then 7 and so on. linger at it. Jehovah has made lingering so enjoyable, with our new Bible.
Correction and counsel. it takes humility.
Prov 15:32... anyone refusing discipline, despises his life...
when someone refuses, there is no place left in the universe for them.
if we don't take the humble view of our self, how can we align ourselves with God's will, His direction.
Pharaoh refused God's counsel.... he perished.
would it not be better to humble ourselves vs. God humbling us?

The elder arrangement.
to help us in all aspects of our worship and ministry.
2 Jon 6... this is what love means...we go on walking according according to his commandments....
you have obedience and the desire to be obedient. if we want to be more obedient, we need to increase our love for Jehovah. then that leads to the desire to be obedient.
the world says they love God, but they don't obey him. because Love for God isn't natural. they have to learn to love Jehovah.
how many people said, "I will study with you, but i will never knock on doors"... what happened? as they grew to love Jehovah, their desire grew to be obedient to Him.

helping them to become a disciple.
the world is infected with disobedience. so it is easy to backslide. we need to grow in our love for Jehovah. even if our heart is currently out of line, it is not to late for us. Jehovah will respond for those who are sincere.
Ps 119:32... i will eagerly pursue your commandments... because you have opened my heart...
