Bro Yorkell gave the talk today.  "Is it time for God to Rule the World".

The world's pastors or religious leaders have no idea why bad things happen.  Yet, God does tell us in the Bible.  The world thinks that God rules the world, but the scriptures show that Satan controls the world (for now).

Ps. 145:15&16...to you...all eyes look hopefully.  you are giving food in due season... opening your hand and satisfying every desire...
How comforting a thought of Jehovah opening his hand to us.

Isa 43:14&15... I am Jehovah, your Holy one, the Creator of Israel, Your King...
(It builds confidence what he says he will do he does)  even speaking in the past tense, because his word is as good as done.

Isa 46: 9&10... I am the Divine One... there is no other god... My own counsel will stand, and everything that is my delight I shall do...
(These verses just strengthen our confidence that all he says, will be done)

June 2012 WT pg. 18.  the picture of the stone that comes out of God's mountain hurls towards the statue (world governments) and it crushes and destroys the world's governments forever.  As prophesied each of man's government was over thrown from the first to the last.

Jehovah has already taken steps to take over.  So when man is at a loss for what is happening, and they think there is no one with answers, we can confidently share the answers from the Bible.

I liked this talk as it sure is faith strengthening in the chaos we see around us.

WATCHTOWER lesson for June 16th is on page 12.  "Help Yourself and Others By Using God's Word".  -PS 119:128... "I have considered all orders regarding all things to be right".

We received wonderful help in how to teach the truth to others.  But not just that, but applying what we learn, so that we set the right example and display the benefits of living by Bible standards.  Part of living by them is reproving ourselves when it comes to our short comings.  If we reprove ourselves right away, we can rid ourselves of practicing sin or worse, committing a more serious sin in which we would need to get the help of the elders right away.

Paul suffered with a "thorn of the flesh", that took him a great deal of time to overcome.  More often than not, we too have short comings, where we may have a short fuse, or we think to much of ourselves, or we are overly critical of others or judge mental of others, or we don't care if we are inappropriate in our conduct or actions or we don't care if our conduct offends someone else or we are too self centered.  These are all things I see in myself and I have had some of them get out of hand at times in my life.  Some are far more of a problem than others, but I am aware of them and when I see one spew out, I try to quickly call in Jehovah's "haz-mat" team (His holy spirit, His Son's ransom sacrifice and His words in the Bible and at times his Christian Elders), to clean up my thinking and get it acceptable to Jehovah.

I like Abbie's comment, "the heart can't be rushed", we have to be patient with those we teach so that what they are learning can reach their heart.  Some points will take longer than others.

And paragraph 13.... LOVE THIS!!!!   "2 TIM 3:16 "ALL SCRIPTURE" DOES NOT AUTHORIZE US TO TELL OTHERS OFF!!!!  Like "the stabs of a sword", sharp criticism often causes much pain and seldom brings any benefits."  AMEN!!!  I've been a victim of this, a witness to another doing this and I've done it.  When I catch myself doing this, mostly it isn't until after the fact, oh how deeply grieved I become.  Of all my shortcomings, this is the one that pains me the deepest.  I know what it is like to be a victim of this and the wounds it causes, so when I find I have done this to someone else... I just want to vomit as it sickens me that I have done the same to someone else.  I spend weeks and months agonizing over it, and for some situations, years.  It is impossible to take back cutting words.

Wonderful meeting!
