OBY's Day

I have often wanted to have a page for my meeting notes. Mainly it is for main points that really touched me, or are point I need to work on. Most likely this will be used for Sunday meeting, but there may be some from time to time on Tuesday meetings. I don't think I will be putting assembly or convention notes on here, but I may put a few main points from them on here.

If you review this... please forgive me as I am bound to make mistakes in typing out a scripture or comment. I do my best, but I fall short.

bad headache

I have such a bad headache, about all I can really manage is to just listen tonight.

Eli, Anne with Carol and Sarah with Kim gave parts tonight. Although Sarah filled in. She did so well with it, I didn't even realize that it wasn't her own part, that she had received the notes from the one who was assigned that part. Some people can sure pull that off well.

We are always encouraged to invite RV's and Bible students to attend the Christian meetings. The real spiritual nutrition come from the meetings. The faithful slave strives to help us to do that by providing so many tracts, brochures, mags, books, all repeating the valuable invitation to come to the Kingdom Hall so they can learn to a much fuller degree and to benefit from Jehovah's Holy Spirit as it meets is where it flows.

I always enjoy listening to sister Llyods experiences... it was wonderful to hear them again, and how the ministry and bible studies effect her.
but....
Kim sure touched my heart tonight. I never knew her kryptonite would be... having to talk about herself. Her interview tonight... yanked her out of her comfort zone, by being interviewed and sharing her own personal experience. I just had to say an extra prayer for Kim tonight, that Jehovah gives her extra sound sleep tonight so she can be refreshed for another day in all she has to do.

2/18/2014 it was announced tonight that some things are changing. From this point on, we will no longer be calling our Conventions, "District Convention". It will now be called "Regional Convention". Also our Circuit Assemblies will no long be 2 days, as of 2015 they will be just one day. And Special Assemblies will also be known as Circuit Assembly. (at least, I think I got this info straight. I was scrambling to find a pen and paper when they were giving this info out. Perhaps they will read it again at the next meeting and I can double check the facts.

1/21/2014 C.O. visit: Even if our heart is out of line at this moment, WE ARE NOT HOPELESS!! We can improve on it, start by developing and deepening our love for Jehovah and he will help us.

10/27/13 S.A.D. How to overcome improper thinking.

The more we think about spiritual things, the more the old sinful thoughts dry up. Don't give up, just keep working at it.

Jehovah wants us to keep trying, Satan wants us to give up.

If you have a weak moment, DON"T GIVE UP, try again!
