We have the CO this week. But tonight.... Not only am I still fighting the migraine I have had all day, I am running a higher fever as well. My concentration and comprehension is lacking. But that is normal for high fevers. So my notes maybe incoherent tonight. that is why I am only going to take notes during our CO's part. Oh, and it is a sub CO as our CO is busy teaching the pioneer school this week.

THE PRIVILEGED OF BEING A TEACHER OF THE TRUTH
We are in a truly privileged situation because we are able to know the real truth about Jehovah. A bonus, is that we can teach the truth. But do we appreciate that privilege?
It is a command to teach the truth
Matt 28:19 & 20... Go therefore and make disciples.... teaching them....
So we aren't the like Christendom's preachers, because we don't just preach, we instruct, explain and offer proof, as that is what teach really is. Christendom's preachers, don't offer any proof or even explain what they spew out.
Teaching isn't natural, but it requires learning and developing the skill. It is an art form.
1 Tim 4:15 & 16... ponder over these things... be absorbed.... pay constant attention to your teaching...
The theocratic ministry school is where we learn how to be teachers. Attending, preparing ahead of time, being enrolled in the ministry school... are how we are absorbed in our teaching.
There is more to Jesus' example then just the technique.
John 7:46.... the officers replied... NEVER has another man spoken like this....
was it just technique? what did Jesus do that caused these men to say this? There were various teachers, but Jesus stood out. The difference was Jesus love... his love for God's word and for people. That is what these men had never seen before. If we too want to follow Jesus' example, we to MUST DEVELOP THE SAME KIND OF LOVE FOR GOD'S WORD AND FOR PEOPLE.
how do we enhance that facet of love?
Ps. 119:97... how i do love your law...all day long it is my concern....
was his concern "fret"? no... it means to meditate. All day long, it had a dominate place in his thinking.
So we need to read and meditate on our daily Bible reading. We need to be reading the Bible daily.
This daily Bible reading forms in us a longing. The more we endeavor to read the Bible the more we long to keep reading it.
1 Pet 2:2... form a longing...
loving the Bible and loving reading, it requires self discipline and maybe some tough love in changing our attitude about it. it isn't easy, and we can always make excuses... so we have to get tough with ourselves.
Brother Fredrick Franz' love for the Bible was so powerful he could recite entire chapters... how about us?
LOVE for people...
a good teacher makes his students comfortable, so they are eager to learn and participate.
....be like minded..having fellow feeling...humble in mind....
A person with fellow feeling wants to empathize with our students. Perhaps we aren't a people person...we have to change that. WE HAVE TO!
What if we run into someone who is apathetic, then we need to find out why they are and figure out how we can adjust our presentation to appeal to someone who is apathetic. Do we feel for people, do we feel for how they have been lied to, how they have been betrayed? We need to try and look for the good in people and understand why they feel as they do. We may need to change our attitude.
We need to be humble. Jesus was never haughty. He never looked down on anyone.
Matt 11:29... come to me... I will refresh you... you will find refreshment for your soul....
Jesus was truly humble. We can demonstrate that humility by really listening to our householder, with compassion. We don't need to be the one to do all the talking, but when we listen, that is how we learn why that person needs the kingdom. then we can adjust and adapt and help them.
We won't be perfect, but if we pray and keep on trying, we will get better and we will be able to be more effective.
Acts 4:13... they were men, unlettered and ordinary... they used to be with Jesus...
there was no mistaking they learned from Jesus. WE don't need higher education. We to can learn from Jesus, by using God's word as the authority.
There is a nice improvement in the cong. with 14 aux. so far this year. Our cong publisher hours have dropped a bit, as the aux hours are not included in that. So we need to work on that. service is at 9 am and 1:15pm.
Thursday's talk... Those loving Jehovah there is no stumbling block.
Thurs 6pm, pioneer meeting
Sunday talk... Video, Good News to Every Nation Tribe and Tongue
Last talk... Into All The Earth The Sound Went Out.
