Here are the notes I took while watching the video at the Kingdom Hall.

there are over 6000 languages across the world.  Jehovah's people are earnestly working to give a Witness to everyone.

Learning a language is an intellectual excersice.  language is close to the heart.  So to Witness in a person'a pitcular language, reaches their heart.

One not only speaks their language, but they also dream and live their language.

Translating requires a team to make sure it is understood.  The words are not enough.  The meaning has to be correct as well as the illustrations.  The team also makes sure the words that are being used are not of of date and to use words are phrasing that are common in the area.

Even putting people of the language in the literature, such as the Blackfoot Native Tribe.  So that the native people will feel more comfortable.  As the Native people have been hurt by broken promises of other religions.  They are distrusting when an outside religion comes in.  They are very moved to have a publication just for them, helping them to feel our Creator never breaks his promises and cares about them and wants to be close to them.

Translated Bible's and literature shows how much Jehovah wants to be closer to us all.  The brothers and sisters have joy and confidence knowing the translation is accurate.

When the Haitian people sing in French they do not cry.  But when they received song books in Haitian, and sing the songs, they cry with joy because the mother tongue reaches the heart.

So many are learning foreign languages.  So they can really help those in their territory.  The foreigners are touched when we make and effort just to help them.  No other religion goes out of their way and uses their time and energy to reach out to foreigners.

There is so much more joy when as an individual or as a family, you embrace learning a new language.

Dan 7:14... that the peoples, national groups & languages should all serve him...

Mark 15:34... E'li, E'li... means my God...
This is an example of the translating work.

Zeph 3:9... give to peoples a pure language...

Ex 3:7... who is like you... the one doing marvels...

Jehovah encourages us to reach out, because he desires to be close to all of his earthly children.  What can we do to have a share in that?

======================================================================

Into All The Earth, Their Sound Went Out

What did i say.
I was worshiped one day
i was to be their celebrated name,
now I stand in shame
It is the tower of Babel.

Gen 10:10-11... all the earth was of one language and one word....
Then the people were rebellious, and wanted to celebrate themselves and began to build the tower.

Jehovah stepped in because they were abusing the language.  By confusing their languages, they people became confused and frustrated and they gave up on their plans.

Experts on languages say there is about 6700 languages.  But about 90% of the world can speak about 100 languages.  Yet, even though most can be reached with 100 lang. Jehovah's Witnesses aren't stopping at 600 languages.  Because the Bible commissions us to reach out to people of all languages.

Rom 10:17 & 18... faith follows the thing hear.... in all the earth, the sound went out....

1 Cor 9: 16....  I am declaring the good news... woe is me if I did not...
The Governing Body feels it is necessity, to translate in more languages.  Because the mother tongue reaches the heart.

Acts 2:4-8...filled with Holy Spirit... speaking in other tongues...

(I lost some of my notes here)

The translating work cost money, however the distribution will always be free.  Jehovah gives freely, and the work is supported by volunteers.  There has never been, nor will there ever be a collection plate or a fee for any literature or meetings.  There are contribution boxes for voluntary donations.  Whatever a person can give is what they can determine.
When the tabernacle was being build, people of all ages kept bringing rings, earrings and other gold for it to be built.  The people kept coming and sharing what in their heart they wanted to share in supporting the building work.

What more can we do?   Can we learn another language?  Some countries need people to teach them english, or need those who speak english to Witness to the english in their countries.  Some work 2 or 3 months here and then spend the rest of the year in another country.  Some have sold property in order to live elsewhere or have pensions that support them while they live and serve in another country.  there are so many ways to help, but help is urgently needed.

(that is all I can remember from what I lost... I had backed up some of the information though, at least I didn't loose all my notes.)

James 1:5... lacking wisdom...ask God... he gives freely
James 4:13-15...you do not know what your life will be tomorrow... you should say, if Jehovah wills, we shall live and do this or that...
If we pray seriously about the matter, and ask if it is Jehovah's will, then he will bless us.

Am I doing my best?  Can I do more?

Matt 25:15... he gave talents...according to each one's own ability....
Blessings are received not because of productiveness, but because of faithfulness.

They have been moved by the faithfulness and diligence of all of us, for our recent adversity that we have all been affected by.  Keep up the fight and the focus during all we will continue to have to deal with.
