Why Be Guided By The Bible....   Fred Royce

there are so many people who try to give guidance.  But we have seen time and again, that the guidance doesn't hold true.  That it only applies for a short time.

Job 38:31-33...  can you call forth....constellations... have you come to know the statutes of the heavens...

There are more stars than we can count.  Jehovah has put each one in it's place and his laws keep it there.

Pro 30:24...there are 4 things that are the smallest of the earth, yet they are strong... ants, rock badgers, locusts, gecko... they are guided by instinctive wisdom that Jehovah put in them.

A pilot spotted a flock of swans that were flying at ... 5 miles high.  they were avoiding snow squalls.  Their instinctive wisdom navigated them to fly higher so they would not be injured in that storm.

Ps 48:14... this God is our God to time indefinite...He will guide us until we die...
we humans receive God's guidance through his word the Bible.

If we read 4-5 pages a day, we can read the Bible in a year.  We need to be reading the Bible daily so that we can benefit from his guidance.

The bible is a unique guide for human conduct.

2 Tim 3:16... all scripture in inspired of God and beneficial....

1) For a time you were considered unfashionable if you didn't smoke.  Now we have learned how damaging it is.
2 Cor 7:1.... Cleanse yourself of every defilement.

2) Morality...  The U.S.A.  has the highest rate of unwed pregnancies.
Prov 1:2-4-... to give to the inexperienced one shrewdness...  length of days will be added to you...

3) for true happiness.  Satan doesn't want us to be happy.  However by being busy in the ministry, active in the meetings, we will be happy.
Prov ....13, 18, 21-22  safeguard practical thinking ability... tie them upon your heart...

4)  1 tim 6:9.... those determined to be rich...falls into many snares...and led astray from the faith...
The world wants more and more and more.

Josh 1:7 & 8... take care to do all that our Lord has commanded....you must in an undertone read in it day and night...
Isa 55: 11... my Word...will prove to be...it will have certain success....
So Jehovah assures us that everything we do if we are allowing Him to guide us will prove successful.

1 Tim 4:8... bodily training is beneficial for little... but godly devotion is beneficial for  all things....
The whole Bible is God's own written word as you read from it you can see how the theme is harmoniously bonded throughout the enter Bible.
Ps  119:105... your Word is a lamp to my foot and a light to my roadway...
Let God's word guide us each day.

=================================================  EXCITING LESSON!!!!!

July 15th, 2013 WT  pg 3    "Tell Us, When Will These Things Be?"
Matt 24:3... What will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?

Like Jesus' apostles, we are eager to find out what the future holds.  The last days and the timing of the fulfillment of Jesus' words.

We have a clearer understanding that 1914 were not the beginning of the great tribulation but it is the beginning of the pangs of distress.  (this corresponds to what took place in Jerusalem and Judea from 33 CE to 66 CE.

So what will signal the beginning of the great tribulation is when the United Nations attacks Christendom and the rest of Babylon the Great... THIS is the beginning of the great tribulation.

"flesh was saved" in the first century when the anointed  fled Jerusalem and Judea.   So we can expect  that during the coming great tribulation, Jehovah will "cut short" the attack of the UN on false religion, so that TRUE religion is not destroyed with the false so that God's people can be saved.

Once this begins, there is an unknown period of time that will go by and then we will witness Armageddon, which is the climax of the great tribulation, which parallels Jerusalem's destruction in 70 CE.   this will be unique as nothing like it has occurred.  When it has passed, then Christ's Millennial Rule will begin.

We can find GREAT comfort in this, because we can be assured that Jehovah's people as a group will not be destroyed.

PREVIOUSLY we thought that the judging of people as sheep or goats would take place during the entire period of the last days from 1914 onward and that those who died before the start of the great trib would die as goats without hope of a resurrection.
HOWEVER Matt 25:31... the Son of man arrives in his glory... then he will sit down on this ...throne....
It doesn't say he is judging YET in 1914, so he couldn't have started at that time.   Jesus' prophecy about the last days reveals that he will for the very first time act as Judge of all nations AFTER the destruction of false religion.   So Jesus will judge people as sheep or goats when he comes during the great tribulation.  THEN at Armageddon, the climax of the great trib, he will judge people of all the nations, and the goatlike ones at that time will be "cut off" forever.

SO THAT MEANS... PEOPLE STILL HAVE TIME TO CHANGE THEIR THINKING AND START WALKING ON THE CRAMPED ROAD LEADING OFF INTO LIFE.        PEOPLE STILL HAVE TIME!!!!   So we have every reason to keep reaching out to people.

Much consideration has gone into the prayerful and careful consideration to the clarifying of the words  "coming" and "arriving" and this has lead to an adjustment in our understanding the timing of certain aspects of Jesus' prophecy.  "Coming" refers consistently to the time when Jesus comes to pronounce and execute judgement during the great trib.   "Arriving"  refers to that same future time of judgment.  So it is reasonable to conclude that Jesus' arriving to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings and a future coming during the great tribulation.

SO>>>>
  • the great tribulation did NOT begin in 1914, but WILL start when the United Nations attack Babylon the Great.
  • Jesus' judgment of the sheep and the goats did NOT begin in 1914, but WILL occur during the great tribulation.
  • Jesus' arrival to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings did NOT occur in 1919, but WILL take place during the great tribulation.
And all anointed ones who still remain on earth after the initial part of the great tribulation has passed WILL at some point be raised to heaven BEFORE the outbreak of the battle of Armageddon.
