God Comes First In A Successful Family Life.

God created the family unit, first the man than the woman.  He made them to be as one.

Heb 13:4...Let marriage be honorable....
it should be considered precious.

Since God created the marriage and family arrangement, shouldn't it be more successful?  so why are so many marriages breaking up.
When you buy something that needs to be constructed and maintained, is it the manufactures fault if it doesn't work when you don't even read the directions?
God gave us a manual, so it is not his fault when people don't read it and use it as guidance and maintenance.

Ecc 4:12 ... a three fold cord cannot be torn in two...
Ps 127:1... unless Jehovah builds it...it is to no avail...

God requires something of each member of the family.

Eph 5:28 & 29... husbands ought to be loving his wife as his own body...
So husbands must show love to his wife.  However it is easy to become mechanical to say "love you".  So when showing love, genuinely saying thank you, expressing appreciation for all the wife does each day.

Jesus says there is more happiness in giving than receiving.  So little gifts, mementos showing her how often you think about her happiness.

1 Pet 3:1-6... wives... be in subjection to your husbands... with deep respect... quiet and mild spirit...

not questioning him in front of the children, having quiet and mild spirit.  That will build his confidence.  Look how Sarah showed deep respect for her husband.  However, there was a time when she questioned him, because of how his decision would effect the family, and Jehovah told him to listen to her.  So wives can give suggestions so as to be a helper, but doing so with respect.

Col 3:20... children, be obedient to your parents...

Parents have a responsibility to answer to Jehovah for how they raise you.  Parents have their children's best interest at heart.  So children do well to be obedient.

Communication is the life blood of the family.  When there is a breakdown in communication, that is when the family falls apart.

1 Pet 3:7...husbands assign honor as the weaker vessel...
Husbands need to learn about their wife and get to know their physical and emotional makeup, but that can only be done through good communication.

Another thing that happens is everyone goes their own way because they all like different things.  Interest can vary, as well as personalities can clash.  But that shouldn't allow our family's communication to break down.  It takes effort to spend time and do activities with all members of the family.

If we just tell our kids what to do, the kids may feel like they are being bullied.  We need to show them that what we teach them, comes from Jehovah.

Ps 119:105... your word is a lamp to my foot and a light to my roadway...
When training our children it is important to teach them how to follow Jehovah's direction so that as they grow up they know they can go to Him as they make decisions on their own and continue to live by Jehovah's direction all their lives.

Matt 6:9-13... forgiving others...not being tempted...

We don't ever want to be harsh with our family.
We also don't want to be repetitive in our prayers.  how would we like it if every time we talked to someone, they said the same words over and over again, even if we asked them about the weather they say the same thing.  How long would it take the listener to not want to listen anymore?  So we want our prayers to be specific and to be sure to pray for others.
We should also pray for wisdom and insight when dealing with matters.

it is also vital to work together as families in the ministry.  so we can see what the needs are for the family.  When we help our children to be prepared it gives them confidence in commenting and their worship can come from their heart.

Put God first in our family life.

"Look!  I am with you all the days"
pg 9 of the July 15th WT

Matt 28:20... Look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."

Love this lesson, how Jehovah's light keep getting brighter and brighter.

My fingers are really hurting today, so I am just going to cover the three questions...

Why can we conclude that from the first century CE until today, there have always been anointed Christians on earth?
Matt 13:30...both the wheat (anointed christians) and weeds (imitation christians) would grow together until the harvest...
Seeing how the see was planted in 33CE  (the seed being the anointing of holy spirit upon true worshipers of Jehovah) and the harvest begun in 1914 as the angels were assigned to reap and weeds and wheat... the growing together means both are there, including the anointed.

Starting in 1914, what inspection by Jesus took place?  This is when Jesus found a small group of zealous Bible Students who have given their strength and fortunes to pursue a vigorous preaching campaign.  Some imitation Christians had to be weeded out of this group.

What events depicted in Jesus' illustration about the wheat and the weeds still lie ahead?  As the anointed Christians are gathered into the restored congregation, then just before Armageddon, the remaining faithful anointed ones are gathered to the heavens.  At Armageddon, the weeds are pitched into the fire and the righteous ones will shine brightly in the Kingdom.
