How to Keep Spiritually Awake.

So disappointed.. had a computer problem and lost my notes.  lets see what i can remember

what can happen when we become spiritually sleepy.
we loose enthusiasm for the ministry, for studying for the meetings, for sharing in the meetings,
as well as our attitude towards the elders.

there are ways to correct those weaknesses
reading our Bible and day text each day.
being willing to work with all of the brothers and sisters in the ministry, not just our friends.
enthusiastically accepting and filling our assignments given to us.
diligently studying for the meetings
having a share in commenting
genuinely drawing close to Jehovah in prayer.

We don't want to get distracted by material things, vacations, household responsibilities so that we neglect our spiritual responsibilities.  In Noah's day, these were the things that distracted the people from taking note as the warning that was being given.  We may need to tend to our jobs and families, but we should always do it with Kingdom interests in view,
We also need to be on guard from being distracted by apostate trash.

1 Cor ... never become weighted down with over eating and heavy drinking... and instantly that day be upon you...
We never want to become spiritual sleepy.  if we see symptoms that we have lost a spring in our step for the truth, we need to take swift action and shake ourselves up so that we can invigorate ourselves and stay awake.

Have You Been Transformed?
Rom 12:2... Be transformed by making your mind over.

Why must all Christians be concerned with being transformed?
We are imperfect, we do not have the full ability to determine what is truly beneficial for us to guide our steps.
Also the Bible shows that trends and standards of the world are manipulated and controlled by Satan.

What transformation must each Christian make?
We need to make our mind over.  This is more than just putting away false religious practices and undesirable traits.  We need to change our thinking and this includes our mental inclination, attitude and power of reason.

How can we succeed in making the necessary transformation?
When we meditate on what we read in the Bible, we then allow Jehovah to mold us to his way of thinking.
When a potter is going to mold clay, he first washes off the impurities.  Then he uses more water to make the clay malleable.  Then with pressure, we can be molded.  A molder also cuts away and shapes the clay.   Jehovah cuts away our old thinking and ideas and shapes us into a valuable and beautiful vessel.
