As Christians We Care About Other People....
Jerome Quimby
When we think about all the books and programs about dealing with love, it seems like it would be dominate. However when we look at the world today, does it seem like we are closer to love or further away? In big things and little things it is clear that we are further away.
When we look at creations and the beautiful scene and vistas we see, is Jehovah's way of showing of he does so, for us. The greatest example of his love for us is giving us his son.
1 John 4:9 & 10... by this the love of God was revealed in our case...his only begotten son was sent for us...
He didn't need this, but he did this for us. We couldn't be in an approved standing before him, if he wouldn't have displayed his love.
& 11... if this is how God loved us, we are under obligation to love one another....
We know humans have the ability. We often see it when a mother or father holds their baby. But not only do people have the ability to show love, people also can shut it off.
We have heard people say we live in a dog eat dog world. People are out to satisfy themselves. Not just in the work place but in a home, a family.
Example, ... Black Friday. even trying to get a parking spot, people's attitude... is all about what they can get. There was no... 'please, excuse me, thank you".
The Golden rule, do to others as you would want them to do to you... do we see that anywhere? No.
Rom 12: 1 & 2... I appeal to you... present your bodies as a sacrifice holy... do not be molded by this system... be transformed...
Paul is begging us, to give our very best.
When they presented sacrifices, they inspect every inch of the sacrifice to make sure it is perfect for Jehovah. That is how we should inspect ourselves and make sure we are giving Jehovah the best. We want to be transformed, and that we allow Jehovah to mold us as Christians. This includes how we care about other people, and teaching them and helping them to have the same mental attitude.
It is so easy to succumb to the world's attitude.
A sister commented about him being colored. He could have gotten ruffled and never returned to that cong.
He said, "thank you, I hope to come back again, but I don't know what color I will be". she didn't get it.
We all have flaws, even as Jehovah's people. We all fall short, so not one of us can point the finger at another. Only Jehovah has the right to point to finger, but he doesn't do that to us.
Eph 4:32- ... become kind to one another...tenderly compassionate...freely forgiving...
& 1:5...become imitators of God...
If we choose to not show this kind of love and consideration to one another, what can we expect from Jehovah?
We can't even begin to count how many ways Jehovah does this for us.
In one way, the use of our tongue. A tug boat can push a big ship even though it is very small.
Example, we may joke around with each other, but do we go to far, joking that effects someone very personally? Even practical jokes can kill a person.
about 12 years ago, some students, were gathered in a cabin. where someone fell asleep and the others, hooked a light to an exposed wire and they were going to shock him. they ended up killing him.
people today who have depression, the things we say, even if it is a joke, can push them to the point of suicide.
1 Tim 5:4&8... if any widow have children or grandchildren,.. let them pay back to their parents and grand parents...
demonstrate this especially for their household...
If we carefully examine just what our parents and grandparents, have done for us.
Example Rahab, was told to have her entire household in the room with her, in over to save them, and she did.
Cornelius also involved his entire household.
How about the ministry? do we go out just so we have time? No, we do it because we love people so much we want them to receive Jehovah's blessings as well.
How can we demonstrate the love that Jehovah has demonstrated to me? 'But genuinely caring for others.. It is Jehovah's will that we do this.

Lessons From a Well Prepared Prayer
Neh 8:5... Let them bless your glorious name
What good things did the Israelites do when the Levites gathered them together?
Whole families stood and listened and then took to heart what they heard.
they were making confession and bowing down to Jehovah. then the Levites represented the people with their well prepared prayer.
What historic examples shows that God lives up to the meaning of his name?
in God's dealings with the descendants of Abraham when they were slaves to the Egyptians. It seemed impossible for them to be set free. However God caused this promise to come true. Signs and miracles against Pharaoh . they crossed the red sea. Then Jehovah provided them for their physical and spiritual needs.
What lessons do we learn from the prayers of the Levites?
We need discipline from Jehovah. We show that we accept God's direction in our lives by faithfully enduring in his service and allowing his spirit to refine us. Jehovah will forgive us if we are truly repentant and humbly accept discipline.
