I have often wanted to have a page for my meeting notes. Mainly it is for main points that really touched me, or are point I need to work on. Most likely this will be used for Sunday meeting, but there may be some from time to time on Tuesday meetings. I don't think I will be putting assembly or convention notes on here, but I may put a few main points from them on here.

If you review this... please forgive me as I am bound to make mistakes in typing out a scripture or comment. I do my best, but I fall short.

Missed the talk

I am so bummed, I missed the talk...i would have missed much of it anyways because I've been running to the bathroom over and over again, but... I got disconnected and the only cell phone number i have for my mom, is the phone she gave to her sister the other day. I tried calling her but because she was hooked up to the meeting she didn't pick up. I hoped she would try to call me back but she didn't.

Keep in mind Pioneering either regular, auxiliary or mini auxiliary as often as possible. Make it a goal.

Evil is anything that causes pain, sorrow or distress.

What kinds of things are the result of evil?
distress
accidents
painful loss
death of a loved one
being offended by hurtful talk

What the human tenancy is in response to suffering evil... revenge or retaliation or even blaming others or even blaming God for the suffering.

tonight, cong book study sure was encouraging on how much Jehovah wants to help us and has provided way to help us by just doing some practical steps.
never neglecting;

the meetings
prayer
our Bible reading
personal study
as well as the ministry

all help us by strengthening our bond with Jehovah as well as feeding our minds and hearts with information that the holy spirit can later draw back to our mind. He just can't help us if we don't do our part.

Sunday morning

Bro Yorkell gave the talk today. "Is it time for God to Rule the World".

The world's pastors or religious leaders have no idea why bad things happen. Yet, God does tell us in the Bible. The world thinks that God rules the world, but the scriptures show that Satan controls the world (for now).

Annual Meeting

I was too sick to hook up for the meeting last night, however there was one announcement that my family told me about. The Annual Meeting will be October 5th, 2013 at the Superior, WI., Kingdom Hall. I believe it starts at 9 am. I don't know how long it will run for though. But I am looking forward to it!

Brother Peterson went through 4 ways we need to keep in mind so that we resist the spirit of the world.

1. Self Importance. Drawing undue attention to themselves. Matt 4:8-10 ...Jesus didn't look for glory for himself. He wasn't even tempted despite Satan's efforts.

2. Neutrality. Remaining neutral in this world's affairs. Early Christians followed Jesus' example and so do we. Even when topics effect us personally, we must not even form an opinion.

3. Keep Christ's priorities first....

2/18/2014 it was announced tonight that some things are changing. From this point on, we will no longer be calling our Conventions, "District Convention". It will now be called "Regional Convention". Also our Circuit Assemblies will no long be 2 days, as of 2015 they will be just one day. And Special Assemblies will also be known as Circuit Assembly. (at least, I think I got this info straight. I was scrambling to find a pen and paper when they were giving this info out. Perhaps they will read it again at the next meeting and I can double check the facts.

1/21/2014 C.O. visit: Even if our heart is out of line at this moment, WE ARE NOT HOPELESS!! We can improve on it, start by developing and deepening our love for Jehovah and he will help us.

10/27/13 S.A.D. How to overcome improper thinking.

The more we think about spiritual things, the more the old sinful thoughts dry up. Don't give up, just keep working at it.

Jehovah wants us to keep trying, Satan wants us to give up.
