I never really had a chance to come on here yesterday. Ran a fever part of the day and just dragged myself around the house.
EO got the wall in the living room down and a short wall that will one day become a closet... up. I started painting to cover up the stripes. But I told him, I think all the walls will need to be primed, because of how dark the orange and green were. So he painted a little bit and found... yeap, all the walls have to be done. But by that point, the fever had taken hold and I was just not able to hardly hold my head up. So he primed and then painted about half of the living room. I have to say, although it is very different, I really like it. It still has a warm feel to it, but it is far far far softer than the orange.
It is also really nice to have that wall back down. Even with the treadmill & elliptical in there, there is so much more room and light. So we are really happy with it.
A carpet guy called today, and said he could come on Wednesday to install the carpet. Which means we should go get the carpet. We are a bit disappointed that the carpet we want isn't on sale. Actually, the carpet we want is way to expensive and at least double the price of the one we decided on... ok, I decided on. I insisted, and EO said ok. I did however let him pick the color of the paint, because we both wanted a different color. I wanted a soft sage green, and he didn't want to look at green again. (won't he be surprised when he paints the bathroom) I told him since I decided on the carpet, I wanted him to be happy with the paint.
Lauren is thinking about painting her room too. I don't know if she will though. So, I think we will get the painting done today. We have most everything put away and organized, we just have to put the candle holder back up.
We so badly needed to do this work. Our carpet is about 12 years old, and it wasn't good quality to begin with. What we are buying isn't super high quality either, but it's fine, it is nice to change the carpet about every 10 years. Granted my deepest hope is that the new system will be here, long before that happens.
I don't remember if I wrote that Milly has an apt to be fixed... on March 9th, the day of the wedding. Oh well, we figured we might have Grandma come over here and baby sit while we are at the wedding. MIlly will most likely be sleeping the whole time we are gone. Latae slept for about 2 days afterwards. I won't go with to bring her in or bring her home, as I don't want her to associate her pain with me. I'm sure she will do fine.
So that is pretty much all that has been going on around here. Just cleaning, organizing, throwing away stuff and then all that goes with remodeling. That's All haha
