Home again. I have to say, with Bill sick and Carol having a rough several days, EO & I were so stressed about even being gone for one night...which is why we chose to stay in Duluth so we would be nearby if things went wrong. Well, I was worried wouldn't even be able to relax on our "trip". But once we got there, and saw how beautiful our room is,... which like a bonehead, I forgot to take pics of the room. I just have this one. Although in a number of the pics you can see that the pics were taken while in the room. Anyway, to the left of the chairs in the one corner is the Jacuzzi and the other corner has a gas fireplace and above it is a flat screen TV.

And I have to say, I was wondering how it was going to be with the sounds of the cars crossing the bridge and the boats and horns. We heard the ship and bridge horns in the room, but it wasn't bothersome, as we expected, considering we were right there. But when the balcony door was shut, we couldn't hardly hear the cars. So we slept good. Well, I didn't sleep great, as I was having a lot of hip pain. but it wasn't because of where i was, it was just my own ailments.

anyway, it was so beautiful, and the weather was so fabulous, that we just enjoyed being where we were. we took a bunch of pics as if we had never been to canal park. We just enjoyed being together. We took our time and it was so nice. we borrowed my mom's manual wheel chair (which was too small) so that we could go down the pier. it worked, but there is no way it would work for convention. so it is a good thing i will be getting my own.

I really enjoyed watching all the birds, there were so many different kinds of birds. But I loved the water more. I would love to live by a lake, and I could go to sleep and wake up to the sounds and smells of a lake. It just relaxes me, and is so beautiful. But even more beautiful is the water at night, country or city. Just fabulous!!!
