I majorly over slept this morning.  I think I got up about 11 am.  I don't know what that is about.  EO says he can't remember the last time I slept that late.  

I had some paper work to do, and it took me all day.  OK, not all day, since I got up at 11.  but still, it felt like it.

This weather is nuts too.  It is so cold!!!  I think I will pull out the heavy blanket for our bed for the next few nights.  Plus, Sunday night... wind chill maybe -70  I just can't fathom it.  EO will have to make sure there is an extra light in the chicken coup.  He has two, but some nights, he just uses the one light... just depending on the temps.  But lately he has needed both of them.  It is very well insulated for them and so the heat lamps keep it nice in there. Plus, there is a nice bedding on the floor, so they aren't getting the cold from the ground. anyways, we have to keep an eye on those temps. 

EO plans to go up and see his mom tomorrow since he knows he won't be able to go up for a couple days while it is so cold.  I guess the government has already closed the schools in our areas for Monday.  (Knowing Solon, they wouldn't close even if it is -70 below.)  EO went and bought some groceries today so that we will be fine for several days so we won't have to go out.  I am so glad that other than the chickens, we don't have any outside animals.  It is just so unsafe out there this winter.  I wonder what this summer is going to bring?

I sure hope everyone stays safe of the next number of days.
