So much fun

For Lizzy's shower, there were Goodies Goodies and more Goodies. I really like how they arranged these trays. Chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered cherries, macaroons, rum & cherry cookies, cheese cakes, and so much more. They had quite a spreed. Including a cheese & cracker tray. They had a number of games, including musical chairs and name that tune & artist. They really put alot of thought and time into it and it was fun because it wasn't the same old same old same old thing. oh... the one game, not so much as a game for everyone, but they asked the groom a ton of questions, like if you were a crayon what color would you be, have you ever worn skinny jeans, what kid shows do you like (his reply was, "what's a kid show") Steph asked the questions and then the bride had to give the answer, and if she got the wrong answer, Abbie would stick a piece of gum in her mouth. They used all kinds of different flavored gum, (some might have been old lol) By the end of it, she could hardly talk because her mouth was so full. They really tortured her with that game. What was funny was some of the really silly questions like, if he were a super hero what one would he be and if you were a Disney characters which one would you be, and she said, "oh we discussed this", then we all busted up laughing, and she said, "well we have very meaning conversations". which cracked us up even more. Stephine & Abbie threw a really nice shower for Lizzy. I hope she had a good time, she seemed to. We gals were laughing a whole lot.
I have to say, I learned a little more about my brain issues. There is clearly a long term and short term memory issue I have. The more recent an event the harder it is for me to remember it. Although there are a few things of long ago I have forgotten. But music stays with me. The name that tune game we played, I dreaded when they said we had to name the song title and artist. Augh! I figured there was no way. Yet so much of it came right back to me. Granted there was a few songs I couldn't remember, and that drove me crazy. We played in teams, so we were able to listen to the 8 seconds of the song, and then figure it out. I really got a headache after awhile trying to concentrate so much, but I just found it so amazing that with all I can't remember, music is still there.
I am so tried today though. It was hard, my hip was KILLING me to the point that I didn't want to go home because I dreaded getting into the van. The poor girls (Lauren & Steph) both were getting sick the day before, now today they are in really rough shape. I feel so bad for them, this is the second time they have been sick in the past month & a half. Too soon.
Leon's leg still is giving him a lot of trouble. He just keeps limping along. I am going to help him latter haul in wood.
Which reminds me, we haven't started using our Kettle bells. They came so fast! But yesterday Steph was just too busy with the shower, and we were too tired after. She was going to be sure to do them today, but she feels so rough. I was thinking of maybe trying it a little bit later on. Just to get started. Right now my whole body is screaming.
