Ok, I didn't shave lol... but I did cut my hair.  Took a couple inches off & cleaned up the layers. (the first pic is how I cut my hair)  I needed it really bad, but I have to be up for it.  It is so hard to have my arms up, it always has been, so I really have to find my moment that I can tackle the project. Why don't I just go to a salon like 99% of the planet? Ok, maybe it is a lot less than 99%, but I don't go because around here, they allow smoking in salons (with all those flammable products)  and since cigarette smoke is my worse allergy, I just couldn't handle going to them.  It is too much of a hassle to go up town.

PLUS, I have a number of bad experiences, where the gal just made a mess of my hair, or cut it totally lopsided, or missed cutting many many strands of hair.  one gal was so busy complaining about her daughter the whole time, and talking on the phone, she just made a mess of my hair.  I got home and my mom's eyes got big, I told her what happened and she called the lady right away.  The lady said for me to come back, but she was so crabby already, I said, NO WAY and NEVER AGAIN!

Then one time a new gal at a salon was being badgered so much by her boss, the boss was coming to hurry her up about every 3 minutes, that the poor gal was on the verge of crying, she didn't do a good job on my hair at all.  I called and complained and told the lady that answered the phone what happened, (I am pretty sure she was the one who did it because she said she knew just what I was talking about).

Even more recently, I told the gal my hair is naturally curly and no matter how much product and how much time I spend, if I do get it straight, it won't stay straight for very long.  And I said, I wanted a cut that wouldn't take much effort, because I have bad arms and I'm to sick to fuss with it. I also said, I can't use a ton of product, because my mother is deathly allergic to many products.  So what does she do?  Spends an hour trying to straighten my hair, she litterer fought with it, and gave me a style that requires ALOT of effort to deal with. (the second pic is of the straight style she wanted me to do everyday)  I have many more bad experiences, but this is enough venting for one day.

So to me, most hair stylists are like most doctors, they don't listen and they give you a "one size fits all", and don't consider the individual's real needs.

Time to sign off, my fingers are killing me today.  I've been using them to much.  Guess I should amp up my pain meds.
