Today was Steph's Purse Party.  Right after we did all the scheduling and rescheduling to pic a date, and sent out emails & post cards... we get news that Todd & Julia's going away party is the same day.  We couldn't reschedule again, because it was just to hard to... so we bumped up the time to 1:30-4:   We were so worried because so many said they couldn't come because they had so much cooking to do for the party.  I had cooking to do for the party too, but i did it ahead of time.

Anyway, i think we had 24 come?  And everyone bought something, even Ethel found a rolling duffel bag that she will use as an emergency evacuation bag... It was amazing, all the purses and WOW the purses, it was so hard to just pick one.  My goal was to find a shinny purple bag, I hoped I would find one I love... and I did.  $38 ... i never spent so much on a purse,  but i really do love it!!!  I thought about getting a wallet too, but didn't.  I considered a rolling duffel bag too, but, Leon said I should get a backpack.  That i may not always be able to roll it, and I might need to carry it.

How I picked a bag, I looked at each one,  and saw some i really liked, but I put them down and continued searching.  Then I found one... and i just kept looking at it, then as I kept looking i realized I didn't put it down, in fact, I didn't want to put it down.  i searched more and more, and I wouldn't put it down... that is when I knew it was the purse for me.

we found a purse for mom too.... she said she wanted to make sure she didn't buy another black purse.  well i found one, that was very "patchquilt" like.  it had bright bold prints that look like a lot of her shirts.  it was fresh and spring like.  She liked it a lot.  I was so glad.

Steph got 2 purses and a wallet.  Pretty much all of her credit paid for it.  she had $70+ credit.  Lauren bought a purse, wallet, scarf & bracelets.  she had a hard time deciding, but everyone told her which bag she should buy.

We all talked Becky into buying a zebra print purse.  but it wasn't just black & white, it also had this gold dot print over it, really muting the back & white and giving it a real warm feel to it.  She decided to get it, because we told her, sure it is out of your comfort zone, but it is so "her".  She too, did the same thing, she just couldn't put it down.  Jasmine found a purse she loved, so did Lizzy, and Kristi, and Marcia found a big black ruffle purse, it is so pretty, and grown up, but at the same time, she also got a little kid's soft & fuzzy backpack ... and i think she got a hat too.

Oh, Steph got a hat as well.
Lynzze got a part camo & leather, with a zipper detailing.... just super cool bag.  what else?

it was just fun to do something so girly and different.

but, i am so shot, i didn't feel good enough to go to Todd & Julia's party.  i came and laid down, then got up to eat, and my legs and feet are KILLING me.  I will need a lot of drugs tonight!!!!!

I have been downsizing my FB games.  playing ones that I don't have to play everyday.  i quit planting crops and i just want to play once in awhile and not be so hung up on them.   i am ready to walk away again.  I've been having a lot of headaches.  I thought maybe it was too much time on the computer, so i have decreased how much time i am on it, but it doesn't seem to matter.  I still have the headaches.  Last night i ran a higher temp,  oh the joys of illness.

so i wanted to write this, as i could see, i won't remember today.    I DO LOVE MY NEW PURSE!!  i wish i had my camera, eo took it to the party.  cause i would post a pic.  i don't know if i will remember to do it later.   but i do love it.

oh, with the terrible earthquake & tsunami that destroyed so much in Japan, we decided we better finish our emergency evacuation bags.  Leon told him he wanted everything put in their bags.  I looked at the WT ... actually I think it is an AWAKE article.  Sept 2007... it emphasize not saying "it won't happen here, where we live it isn't dangerous".  type attitude.  Fact is. earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes can happen or effect so many places.  Then there have been reports and interviews of JW's who survived, and were asked, how is it, so many JWs survived.  They explain they just grabbed their bag and ran as soon as they heard the sirens.    One thing I want to remember.... don't be Lot's wife, how many things do we take with us, that we don't need.  don't be foolish and greedy.  Let it go, and Jehovah will provide.
We need one more pocket sized bible and i would like to get small song books for the bags, so we don't have to go find them.  I have socks for all of us, underware for me & eo.  And then the basics, tooth brushes, soap, razors, matches and what not.  Lots of zip lock bags... well everything is in a zip lock bag and a few extras, so that, we can gather water, or food or whatever.  I need to put our photo copies of our DPA's in our bags yet.  The only other thing we need to buy is rain ware and flashlights.  But we do have matches so at least we have those.

I'm bushed... off to bed.
