party games

i'm not sure if i posted this already, as I just can't remember. Today I tried to work on coloring squares to make paper checker boards for the musical checkers game. I did change the game, so that, the first Black & the first Reds to get "kinged" would win. So we don't have the finish the games. The 2 winners of that game will join the 3 winners of the next game in starting the third game.
Oh, second game, is like the "3 legged race", but we will add another person, so instead of 2 people 3 will be tied together, that ought to be a hoot to watch.
The third game will be the water relay race. 5 groups will compete, putting water in a spoon, walking across the yard and pouring it in a glass, then rushing the spoon back to the next person.
The fourth game is Sardines. We are asking an elder to "hide", that way, he can keep an eye on those "its" that find him.
Then the last game will be an obstacle course.
All the games can be played by everyone. although for Sardines, the younger kids might want to stay by an adult. Even the obstacle course is being set up so they can do it too.
Anyway, I tried to work on the checker boards but I am just so fatigued. My face & neck are swollen, and I basically feel awful!
So the games are arranged. I know I can't play any of them. But it is fun to watch. I just hope I can be up and around on Sunday. I've spent most of the summer/spring/winter .... in bed. Oh well. It's just a temp thing.
