reading
June 28, 2014
i have been doing a lot of reading lately... well not lately, cause it has been for awhile. i don't normally read books other than the WT publications. what is that scripture ...it is a lot of??? ok, can't think of the word either. But, I've been going through the Sept mags and well, since i go through pretty much everything on the JW.org site and TV just has the same tired and demonic shows on, I needed a distraction. So I have been reading. Steph shared some books that she and Lauren had read, and I went through those really fast. I am super picky about what i read, what holds my attention, what is appropriate, well, at least as appropriate as possible anyways. It is so hard, and I like to know how the book ends, before I read it, because I hate reading a book only to have a super stupid ending. I have always looked at the end of a book first. Some people would gasp at that, but it doesn't ruin it for me, it just makes me even more curious about the story, who is in it, how it unfolds, what twists and turns are in it. knowing it has a good ending, does help me to keep motivated to read the whole book. I'm that way about everything. if we record a race, i find out who wins and where people place, because that helps me to decide how much I will pay attention to the race.
some would say it is unthinkable to do that... but hey.... how about life? don't we already know the details to how life will be in the new system? what sort of persons will be there, what we have to do to be there, how we will all be fresh and healthy, with beauty every where, living in peace with the animals... If it isn't a cheat to know that, then how can it be a cheat to read the end of the book first. I guess too i don't put any kind of value in "man's stories".
well enough about something so trivial.
i'm super queezy today. not sure why. head is spinning, stomach unhappy. and plan to go lay down in a bit. But i finished my service time for the month. So I am super happy about that!!!!!!!!
my uncle (mom's brother) is in the hospital. they are having trouble figuring out what is wrong with him, tests just aren't showing anything. so they are treating him for meningitis. everyone is extremely worried. plus my grandma has bronchitis... so i am plenty worried.
