hardly slept, now up super early.  blessing that i was up so early.  Lauren hasn't been able to sleep.  the doc said she would suffer horrible pain, and he wasn't kidding.  she is suffering to the point she can't handle it. so i was able to talk her through what she needs to do.  i think that i was up and able to help her right away, instead of waiting until i was awake at 8 or 9 was a huge comfort to her.  at least she knows the pain will ease.

as for Steph.  her fever was pretty high.  normally her room is always hot, she keeps her door closed when she is home.  for modesty.  well, i gave her a sheet to use (I lay with a separate sheet i have folded in half and sewn up that i have used for years, mainly for modesty.  then i put the big fan in the hallway and set up the screen too so she could leave her door open and help cool her room down to try and keep her fever from going any higher. I think it helped.  at least later when i went to check on her, she was a little more comfortable. but she too is super sick.  can't swallow hardly at all, just terrible sick.  i have her keeping on top of the decongestant and pain meds so that she doesn't get as bad as Lauren.

As it is, I have Lauren quarantined in her room, for the most part.  I did this days ago when Lauren was first having trouble.  I gave her and my mom strict instructions, to keep the bathroom sanitized, for them to wear masks, and just do whatever they need to, so that ma doesn't get sick.  plus ma has her antibiotics ready at the first sign of anything.  with ma's health the way it is, the slightest thing might turn into a nightmare quick.

as for me, well, it was a really rough night, so much pain and didn't sleep much at all.  i, i, i am on the verge of tears and.....I am just glad to have EO home to take care of us.  wish i could have Lauren close by to help her too.  poor babies.  it is going to be a long tough day for all of us.

I will never miss pain, in the new system.
