We lost mom yesterday.
EO was concerned about asking anyone to miss the meeting, we just didn't want to do that. So he took the 11pm shift and he stayed until 5am. every hour he would dab water on her lips. he would just hold her hand and talk to her. Colton was also working that night caring and tending to her.
then at 5am EO's aunts took over. Bill took the shift from 11am-2pm. He decided to go early. and one minute before he walked in the room, she had passed. He saw Darnelle in tears and he knew.
she passed very quietly. in fact the last 2 days she had slept very calm and quietly. So it was comforting to us all that she drifted off so peacefully, especially being she had suffered so cruelly for so many months.
The outstanding thing is all the visitors she had. From day one, they never let up. The friends have no idea just what an outstanding Witness that gave. The staff and visitors often asked who all the people were. It really had a big effect on the staff and residents. And the 24/7 care the last 9 days, really touched the hearts of everyone there.
now grief and healing can take place.
