So I was concerned about her pain level going up yesterday.  Prior to that pain spike she was just taking tylenol for her pain and it was helping fine.  When her pain level went up she had to be given ... starts with a P... a mega pain pill.  Well, things have gotten worse.  Last night, her pain spiked higher, so they doubled the pain pill, but she couldn't swallow the pill so they gave her a liquid form, which again knocked her out.  She is having trouble breathing again.  They took more scans and say her lung sac is filling up with fluid again.  They just drained it Friday and it is filling up... it is NOT GOOD AT ALL!

Deenie had stayed with her last night, so Deenie didn't get any sleep, and Carol was in tears from the pain being so bad.  On top of it, they gave her a room mate who is screaming and swearing at the nurses.... what they did that for, I have no clue.  So they were going to try and move Carol.  (perhaps the other woman is too crazy to try and move her).  and they are going to do some more scans on Carol.  Deenie called at 6:15 a.m.  EO got Bill up at 7am and they were on the road by 7:30.  EO forgot his phone.  So I am having to wait to hear what is happening.

Steph had to open the coffee shop this morning and Colton is gone to school.  Lauren is sleeping at the moment, she has had to take extra advil for the pain she is in from her fall.  Advil knocks her out, so she has been sleeping alot.  I was up for a little while after EO left, then I went back to bed.  So crazy I couldn't wake back up.  It just took forever to figure out how to open my eyes and wake up.  We might be going up there later, depending on how things go.

************UPDATE
Carol has 2 infections, so they are putting her on antibiotics.  Plus she is malnourished, and if she can't start eating better, (she is really trying to) they will have to put a feeding tube in.  So she is working on it.  Plus she is so weak, that it is taking two people to help her get up.  She is having to sit upright on the edge of the bed to be able to eat.  They think the lower back pain might be because of how weak she has become.  The are going to be running more scans again today, and try to figure out what to do about that fluid on her lungs which makes it so hard for her to breath.  She is suffering horribly. The are going to see about having a plastic surgeon come and close up her incision, it still has to heal before she can start Chemo, but the docs want her to get started as soon as possible.

Jim picked up Deenie so she could go home and get some sleep since she was up the whole night...and day.  Leon has Bill up there with him and he may just stay with him tonight.  I just hope Carol can keep finding the will to keep on fighting.  If she doesn't start getting some strength back, I fear they will have to put her in ICU soon.
