EO is gone to pick up Bill and then to go and pick up Carol and take her to Duluth to see the doc.  The swelling she has seems to be going down, so that is really great news.  I don't know about the fluid in her lungs yet, but I am sure we will find out more about that today.  I am just hoping things are on track for Carol.

Dianne is doing better.  Slow but steady progress is far better than no progress.  I know it is hard for the friends to go to Rochester.  I also know what it is like to not have any visitors... actually I had surgery once and didn't have a single visitor.  You feel forgotten and alone, I thought no body cared about me.  So I know how discouraging it can be when you are so sick.  I keep trying to send messages down there, and i think the kids are planning to go down again and I know a few different families have been able to go down there, so I just hope Dianne knows we all love her.

EO & I have talked about going to see her, but... we are both concerned about being gone, if Bill has a bad day or Carol or both... EO goes each day to spend time with Bill and every day he has been going up to spend time with Carol.  In fact, the other night, after the meeting, Bill was hemming and hawing and then asked if EO & Lauren wanted to go over and have some ice cream with him.  So EO & Lauren rushed over and turned the lights and TV on before Bill got home so he wouldn't have to come home to a dark quiet house.  they stayed awhile and then before they left, they turned the volume up a bit on the TV so he would have some noise after they left.  It is times like that, that we just don't want to be gone right now.  But if the kids can go down now and then, at least Hertzners have a variety of visitors.

So the kids went to a concert last night... Michael Buble'.  I have no idea what time they got home.  But they are all sleeping right now.  So I am looking forward to hearing how it went.  I don't know what the plans are for them today, besides sleeping.  I just know Colton has a class later.

So we talked it over and we decided to add onto the garage.  Actually what we are doing is adding a roof/leanto/carport to the North side of the garage.  We are going to build half this year and half next year so it runs the full length of the garage.  But as for this fall it will be long enough to get Colton's car under a roof.  And we are taking the boat out of the garage and it will go in the barn, then Steph can park her car in the garage too.  And if we had a really bad storm or hail, we could fit all our cars in the garage, but it wouldn't be for everyday to put them all in there.  Thus the reason for the carport/
