New Bibles

The new year text for 2014!Colton left this morning all decked out for his second job interview at the Golden Living nursing home. He had hoped to hear from the Villa Miraina, but they weren't actually hiring right now. So we will see what happens.
I have a lot of pain today.... ALOT! My whole body and my digestive track. When I woke up this morning, I thought how nice it felt to be in bed and I didn't want to get up, but then, I really wanted to do my Bible reading. I love my new Bible!!! Some of my favorite scriptures have been altered, so I have to learn them over. On the way home from the Annual Meeting, EO and I were trying to say the fruits of the spirit but we kept getting hung up... we were able to say patience, but then couldn't figure out how to continue. I'm starting to get it now, that kindness comes after patience, so another day of practice and i should have it, then it is just the whole rest of the Bible to learn...haha.
Last night EO & I went through our old Bibles. I don't have a ton of notes in the back of my Bibles, but I wrote my notes down on post it's and put them in my new Bible. I had to look them up and adjust the notes as well, being they all pretty much changed to some degree. Lauren had a lot more notes in her Bible, she worked on them the night we got our Bibles.
I found out my Grandma cried when she received her Bible. She just couldn't believe the gift she had received. Well, who didn't tear up? I think just about everyone was hugging this precious gift.
My cousin told me, that two people showed up at the hall, who were studies, and they had only been to the meetings a few times. They technically weren't suppose to be there. But the brothers thought, they couldn't kick them out. When they received the new Bibles they were over joyed. And then he said there was a couple he called and asked if they needed a ride (who were suppose to be there) and they said they weren't going because they had other things to do. What??? Really??? Maybe there is a bigger picture as to why they didn't attend. There were so many elderly ones, ones in nursing homes and some to sickly who were able to call in and listen over the phone. For all of them, new Bibles were delivered to them.
B&C were able to listen over the phone. When they heard they were passing out the new Bibles there, that is when Deenie pulled them out of her purse and handed them each one. I wish I could have seen their faces, but I can imagine their eyes lighting up and them smiling from ear to ear.
So there is a group on FB that posts news events of things that happen with our bros & siss. Well, Saturday morning, they were posting pictures of the new Bibles. So many of the friends were upset. I was upset. The instruction from the brothers was very clear, that we were not to talk about it to anyone. As we don't want to spoil the surprise for the rest of the friends. And yet that group had more than one post about it. A number of the bros and sis were upset with that group and left negative comments about them not following the instruction of the governing body. Well, I didn't leave a comment, I just blocked that group so I don't ever see their posts again. I know we get info on to be careful of stuff like that. That group was more on news events, until now. Some people had commented, not thinking about "time zones". Some started posting last night... but there was still Hawaii that hadn't completed their meetings. It just bothered me.
There are a number of stories going around, of how much this new Bible had touched them. Young ones snuggling their new Bible. So many tears of joy. I know it is hard for me to put it down. Again, I think of my grandma, she saw so many of the Bibles that were released. Well, she is 95, she has seen so much. This didn't disappoint her... or anyone else.
