So last night, Steph got home and asked if I felt slightly decent enough to go to a movie.  Many weeks ago she asked if I would go with her to see a movie that she was looking forward to seeing and I said I would.  (have to do what I can with the girls while they are still here).  I was pretty tired, but I couldn't say no.  Then, EO walks in and said he would like to go, and we called Lauren (she was at work) and she said she wanted to go to.  I think as a family we go to the movies.... once every 5+ years)  So we went.  We actually had a really good time.  I hope to keep times like that fresh in mind as long as I can remember it.

Tonight we are going to have dinner at Staelens and we are bringing our trip pics... hope they have all night, I can't get through them in one sitting.  haha

Tomorrow is our 23rd wedding anniversary. Lauren asked if she was off the hook from getting us a gift.  EO said, "you paid for the movie tickets, so that is plenty".  Then I quick said, not to mention the Bristol trip.  Lauren commented "i had wanted to give us the tickets on our anniversary, but then we would have missed the race".  EO then realized what he said, and said, "with that, she was off the hook for a couple years".   I tried to shush him and whispered "what about going to another race?"  we can't be trusted to not drive each other crazy. lol   I do appreciate just how generous our kids are to us.  They are always taking care of us and spoiling us.  They are the best kids!  Of all the blessings I have the kids are my favorite, but I know I'm partial.

So I decided to use the John Wayne pic today, because it is Saturday, and for whatever the reason is, I like watching westerns on Saturday.  I don't know when this started, but I have been doing this for many years.  It is the strangest urge I have.  I don't know why I have  it, but I just enjoy a good western.  John Wayne is my all time favorite movie cowboy.  Of his movies, my top 3 favorites are 1) McClintock  2) North to Alaska 3) Hitari.  Although Hitari isn't a usual "western", it is a John Wayne flick.  At first it is a little slow, but it picks up.  All 3 of them are so funny, and that is why they are my favorites.
