more drama

Lauren's new pet. She has been wanting a bird for awhile. We have never had a bird since we were married. However, when I was a kid, we had three birds for awhile. Then after they died, a couple years later, I bought one myself. I told the kids we wouldn't have one because they are messy. I helped Lauren make a "crumb catcher" that goes a bit higher to help catch seeds and feathers (that is the pink fabric you see along the bottom. And then she has a cover we pinned together as birds really do prefer to be covered during the night. She has a bracket up high on the wall so that the cats couldn't bother the bird... ok, i say the bird, because it is young and we don't know if it is a girl or boy yet. It might be starting to get some blue above the beak, so we are thinking it is a boy. Lauren is calling him/her Minty, since it's feathers are a BEAUTIFUL light shade of green. She bought him earlier this week. Steph is planning to get a bird as well. They will get a bigger cage and keep them in Lauren's room as the cats have never been allowed in Lauren's room.I thought the drama was behind us, but NOPE! So my morning worship was delayed this morning so I could deal with the drama. I was really offended by what was being said. I had to speak up and put a stop to it. It was so horrible. Let me just say, it ISN'T anyone in this house who is CAUSING the drama that we are having to deal with. I am not sure, but I hope it is over now. I turned up the volume to my Bible reading so that I could drown out the drama from my mind. It worked pretty well.
i thought the brothers had been to my mom's already to help them hook up to the new phone system, but I guess not. it just must be taking a little longer for it to get set up.
The queasiness from yesterday is past for the most part. It really took all my strength to keep it under control. Today however, I am having other digestive pain and sitting up is really not helping. I'm guessing that is why I have such a headache today. Pain and suffering never ends, it just gets so old!
Well, Colton worked last night, and it was good that he was there. Carol normally feels better after having the fluid drained. She normally can eat better as well. Not yesterday. They had to have an IV running all night. Her white cell count is low and they keep pushing the "blood issue". As if she needs to deal with that as well. They just don't seem to get "NO" means "NO"! What part of "NO" don't they understand? They shouldn't even been pressuring her, she has told them "NO", so it is just rotten on their part to give her grief about it. A week or so ago, they were giving her meds that seemed to help and we had hope, that down the road she would be strong enough to come home. Cancer is such a roller coaster. You just never know from one day to the next what is going to happen. Again they drained about a 1 liter from her lung sac and about 1 1/2 liters from her abdomen.
