meeting

I just love this pic of Steph & LataeThe meeting was so wonderful. I am so humbled and thankful that I am allowed to listen in. It sure makes my pains ease and builds my hope for the new world to come. I loved the part of the meeting that said we won't ever have to think about the pains we have suffered in this old system. I've lived with too much pain my whole life. To much heart ache. It effects everything I do in this old system. But soon, it will never touch me again. And I know the same is true for everyone.
Plus, I was able to hear the meeting so much better than I have with the previous arrangement. The only problem is, we could hear noise from others who hooked up. My mom and I have always had to hit "mute" so that we don't distract each other by our coughing or whatever noise we may make. (I do a lot of coughing) So we are used to it. But others who are on it don't have any idea we can hear them talking or wrappers crinkling or zippers being zipped (i think someone was in their purse or something). So I sent a message to Jim about it, if he could give everyone who connects a "heads up" about being sure to use "mute" if they have it.
I am feeling rough, yet again. But EO is sick. several times during the night he woke up choking. His throat is swollen. He doesn't get sick real often, but when he does, it's bad. I don't think he will even manage to hunt this evening. Hope he doesn't loose to much time from being sick. He, Lauren & Steph are hunting this year.
Colton had to work this morning. It should be the last Sunday (I think) it is part of his orientation/training in. So once that is over, he shouldn't have to miss any meetings.
Steph put her 2 week notice in. She is fed up with them hiring more people and giving everyone else 30+ hours a week but they will only give her one or two days a week. (plus one day for inventory) and those days are always Saturday and Sunday. She has told them over and over she can't work Sunday. They say everyone has to work one Sunday a month, but they are giving her 2 or 3 a month. She has prayed and prayed for another job but can't find one so she can quit the Merk. But she can't take it anymore. Plus... they won't pay her more than $8 an hour. She has asked for a raise but they won't give her one. She works harder than anyone there, and 5 times faster, but they still won't work with her. So the told them the other day she was done and she couldn't be happier, she came home so full of joy like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders. Now she is trusting in Jehovah to provide her with a job that will allow her to have the meetings off. She has put in applications in Superior as there is nothing for jobs in Solon that will give her the meetings off. (oh and time for service as well). So we will be praying extra hard for a job for her.
Lauren came home from the meeting and brought EO and I each a little pizza and some doughnuts from JT's. She figured with EO sick she would help out so we didn't have to make lunch. He didn't eat a real lot with his throat being swollen, but he managed to eat some. He did better with the doughnuts. I thought that was so sweet.
So yesterday (was rough) and Lauren & I just laid in her bed and watched a movie in her room. Her little bird got excited and chirped a lot when there were airplane noises and when the movie got real exciting. It was pretty cute. But, being we were at the other end of the house with the door closed, we never heard anyone one knocking at the door. We had the door closed, because Colton was sleeping and we didn't want the noise to bother him. It turns out a car group stopped by. I was very disappointed I didn't get to see them, but at the same time it was the wrong time to have a car group over with Colton sleeping. He just has a curtain for privacy and to darken it from the light, it doesn't do much for noise. Oh well, maybe next time. Plus I was in my pajamas and not looking real great. Then my mom calls afterwards and told me I had missed them. I was like, MA! you knew they were leaving your place and coming over and you didn't call to give me a head's up? Come on! She knew Colton was sleeping she could have warned the group and warned me. Oh well.
