So yesterday was so much fun.  I was feeling fair, and got to the Hall, and there I see 6 dear old friends from the cong. I grew up in, here for a visit.  I was so happy, and gave so many hugs.  Then just as the meeting was starting, I asked my hubby if he knew if they had lunch plans.  I was just assuming, they had all come down to visit another family.  After the meeting, we went to talk to the group, turns out they had no plans.  YEAH!  We insisted they all come to our house, not just the 6 visitors, but their families & several others.  Thankfully we had prepared a HUGE salad the day before, and they ran to the store and picked up a few more items.  Needless to say, we had 30 here for lunch.  Leon was whipping up a storm, fixing lots of spaghetti, we got the garlic bread all ready & drinks besides.  It was awesome!

It was so much fun to see to see and visit with dear old friends, it really did the heart good.  I had to laugh when one brother said, "this is a miracle of the 3 loaves & 7 fishes".  It was, we threw things together, and everyone helped with making koolaid, preparing the garlic bread, serving ice cream, hauling tables & chairs & setting them up and then clean up,  The weather was perfect, many of us sat out on the deck.  There weren't even bugs to deal with. It was just so much fun and we had so many laughs.

I have to say, I am so thankful for having been raised by someone who knows how to throw a party.  Not just throw a party, but to be at ease doing something so spur of the moment. I never felt overwhelmed, and I even got to snuggle one baby as she fell asleep.  I am also so happy that I have a family who knows how to chip in and help out.  Each of our kids were so helpful too & Leon, he just rocks!  Just fun!
