Hospitality

We had hospitality today, which was really nice. EO took care of most of it, as I am not doing well at all today. Both yesterday and today I woke up with migraines, yesterday it never went away. Today though it has let up, but my arthritis in my rib cage is flared up, and being I don't have medication for it anymore (as my insurance won't cover it) I don't have the right kind of help. It doesn't flare up real often.
So it was nice to visit with Darren and his kids. We also had Dave over as the rest of his family is down in Rockford right now. Both EO and I feel bad for the brothers when their families are out of town, as they typically live on frozen pizzas. If we can, we try to have them over for at least one meal, so they can have some home cooking. Funny how that is, if a husband is gone, the wife still cooks, but if the wife is gone the husband will live on sandwiches and frozen pizza. I understand why, but it is still funny to me.
We had fun talking about roller coasters and traveling and farming. It was a really nice visit.
So yesterday just consisted of house cleaning and OH... the Watchtower lesson for today... WOW it is on my all time favorite's list. Putting the past behind you and not letting it trip you up so you loose focus on what is really important... the future. It used Lot's wife as an example, despite the fact it was material things that caused her to disobey Jehovah, we don't want to let our past, past mistakes, or anything else keep us from focusing on what is to come. IT will be hard enough to endure the end of this system, such obstacles will only hurt us. Even if all Satan can do, is get us to look behind us, he has won. I had never thought of the point about Paul, we know what Paul did, but when he attended the various congs, he had to have encountered people who he had wrongfully persecuted. It had to have been hard, but he kept focused on the preaching work and on his assignment. He had to have found comfort in Jehovah's forgiveness. I can only imagine how if he would have dwelt on his past, he would never have been able to move forward and do all he did.
Then yesterday I had looked at my WT that we will be studying next week (as it is a new one) and as I do, I skim through the articles we will be studying. One of them, I think it was entitled how Jehovah protects his people or he knows how to protect them... anyway I noticed ti said, the chaos will be unlike anything we can imagine. And that there will be no protection agency on the planet that we can turn to for help. I really thought that statement was interesting. Plus I don't recall ever hearing that before. I am looking forward to studying the next WT as it is all about prepping us for the end of this system.
There was so much more, but I just can't list it all.
