Yesterday was a really rough day, although today I have to say is even rougher. Anyways, EO called me while he was talking with his parents and Deenie trying to get a plan in order for when Carol is able to go home. they decided they wanted a hospital bed for her. So EO called me and asked me to look on craigslist... there weren't a lot of them, and some were pretty old, but there was an electric one in Iron River. The mattress was even in a vinyl cover. So they went to look at it yesterday and Bill bought it. They will go tomorrow to pick it up. I know it will help a great deal.
It makes me think of when we had one, it was set up in the living room for Lauren after she had her kidney surgery. It really was so helpful as it allowed Lauren to find a position that she was most comfortable in. Plus, it helped her to sit up so she could get up or just sit up to eat. So I know while Carol recoups and for those rough days when she has to go in for Chemo treatments, she will be more comfortable.
I was surprised how fast and easy it was to find a hospital bed. I am so thankful to Jehovah that we were able to find one so close and such a nice one that was in their budget. Jehovah always knows what we need and it is always there when we need it. Can't imagine where we would be if he wasn't helping us every day.
I know the family is still so very worried about Carol. Even though she is progressing, it is very slowly. but even baby steps is better than no steps. So I am thankful.
Now that DQ is closed, Colton is job hunting. Yesterday he put in a number of applications in Superior. Including the Marina Villa, and he said that place was really nice. He also had one job interview, on the spot. Next week, he plans to apply at some places in Duluth. Steph wants to go to WITC and talk with them about taking some classes. She can't make up her mind about which field she wants to go into, so I told her that she really should go talk to them, because they know more about determining her abilities and what field would better suit her. Especially when we really don't know very much about the fields she is interested in. So she is going to do that, perhaps next week. She wanted to look into this sooner, but she has just been far to busy to do that. Now with DQ closed, she has a little time.
good gravy, i just have too much pain and fatigue today.
Dianne is not doing well. Her kidney is ok but her blood count is seriously low.
