goofy

We have goofy kids... but then I guess they get that from their parents. Steph wanted to go for a drive last night in her new car. So Colton and her ended up going to Hinkley, they went to White Castle and also Tobies. They got home shortly after midnight. I do remember doing stuff like that when I was their age. When I lived in Oregon, I would wake up around 2 or 3 am, and my roommate would also be up and we would be starving so we would go to a little diner that was open 24/7 and we would get biscuits and gravy. At least they can have fun together.
Right from the start, everyone was super nervous in Colton's class. The instructor said in a week everyone will relax and the class will become fun. Well, Colton... right from the start took it upon himself to volunteer for what no one else wanted to and comment when no one else wanted to. The instructor knows he can count on him to help him out. Like yesterday, they were demonstrating how to lift someone. So Colton was the paralyzed patient. He repeatedly had to fall and be caught and lifted by most everyone in the class. At one point, instead of just falling for the instructor, he pretty much threw himself, which had the whole class laughing... ok, he had everyone laughing because he was making goofy facial expressions the whole time. oh, and he said, there was one girl who was super shy about being in front of the class, so in a soft voice she would tell him what she was going to do, he responded with puppy dog eyes and in a very timid voice, which just busted her up. Yeah, he has a gift. I think he would do awesome in pediatrics!
So EO says the kids are really animated like me... He is pretty animated, but Lauren agrees with him.... WHAT?? I don't see it...hahaha
I am still keeping up with my Bible reading & ministry. I feel like I should be further in my Bible reading. I don't feel like I am going to get it done in a year. I am almost to the half way point in Isaiah. But when I look at my book mark, that is more than half way through the whole Bible. According to the schedule I am still many days ahead of where the schedule is. Which I already know I will miss some days from being at the DC... which was one of the reasons I got ahead on my reading in the first place. So when we get back, I will still be ahead.
I have a odd headache today. We are trying to get the house cleaned up... there isn't much to do, but IRIS will be here in a little bit, so EO ran the vacuum, Lauren wiped up the floor, and I put a few things away. Our dinning table seems to collect everything. So I put that stuff away. Now it is just a few odds and ends that EO is taking care of and he is making lunch.
Steph didn't get to go work at the apts yesterday, she was not happy. but the flooring guys didn't show up today, so she is going to be super happy that she can get everything done on Sunday before the flooring is done. The flooring has to be replace completely in one aprt because it is all original... making it a few weeks shy of 20 years old. So, yeah, it is WAY over due, because the original stuff was poor quality in the first place. But it was my mom's first apt there, and she took excellent care of the flooring. But then that was her living for so many years. I can hardly believe that building has been there 20 years. EO and I have been working there from the day it opened. That is amazing to have had that job for so long.
So I started looking online at apts down in the cities, just to get an idea of cost and what not. Well, I found the perfect place for Steph. heat, water, sewer, trash included in the rent. it is a security building, Plus it is a cat friendly building... plus, there is a/c in all the apts, plus there are garages, and laundry there, a balcony and a swimming pool. SO AWESOME. PLUS, it is one turn on a street and the Kingdom Hall is 3 miles. she couldn't get lost. not that she will actually get the apt, but it would be PERFECT for her.
