good news

Carol didn't have Chemo yesterday. The doc didn't have the current lab work and was concerned that the chemo wasn't working as well as they wanted. They were thinking they might have to make some changes with her chemo. So he gave her a week off so she could build up her blood. Then this morning they got a phone call, saying the Chemo is working. That her cancer number is down by half, it was about 7300 and now it is down to 3000 something. And her hemoglobin is at 8.3 so that is decent too. She still has this week off from Chemo and it will resume next week.
This is the news that the family needed. With how weak and how frail she is. So much pain she is in and how hard this has been on her, it was hard to know what was going to happen. We are all breathing easier.
My back is still giving me trouble today. In fact it is worse than yesterday. The pain is spreading into my hips and I have a massive headache. I almost didn't get up for morning worship. But I just needed it so much I dragged myself to the table. Even sitting there was so difficult. Now I am just living on my pain meds and ice packs.
The girls went to town together. Steph is picking up a couple applications and looking for work. Colton wasn't planning on going to town but had to at the last minute, he should be home in about an hour. EO was just here and now is heading back out to try hunting in a new spot. I do hope he can get a deer soon. In and out, in and out all the time.
