FAB-U-LOUS!

Every year, everyone says it is the best District Convention ever, then the next year it seems to top the last. Maybe because we have just missed being in spiritual paradise, not sure!
I noticed something this year, the interviews were reduced in length. It seems the only made two maybe three statements and that was it. "Just the facts, mam". There were lots and lots of demos & soliloquies, almost every talk had one,
It also didn't seem like they were kicking you in the hind end so much, but empathetic to the fact everyone is struggling, and to help us cope, to do our daily bible reading with meditation & prayer. They did remind us of having a share in meetings, but to find a way to get in the ministry.
We really enjoyed it. I was so tired, and the ride home Sunday night was brutal to the MAX! The last 2 hours, I was on the verge of screaming, crying & pulling my hair out. I didn't sleep at all on the way home, just couldn't get comfortable.
As for the food, eating out was harder than I thought it would be. It was hard to find food I could eat. Twice I had pizza, cause it was hard to figure out what I could handle. Oh well. The lunches, I had I made sandwiches with cheese, spinach, cucumbers, green peppers & black olives. I found them yummy and I was very satisfied.
I did ok sitting in the regular chairs, but by 2 pm it was getting rough. I needed a lot of pain medicine, but at least I had pain meds I could take.
It was all worth it though. It had been a number of years since we had to pack up on a Saturday. It was so hard, because we packed and loaded the van Saturday night, only leaving what we needed for the morning. It saved us so much time and energy for Sunday, I can't imagine how hard it would have been if we had waited until morning. It was certainly smooth!
