Last night, Steph was hashing over what she was going to spend her money on.  Ipod, clothes, and so on.  Then she asked, what if her and I take a trip to CA?  I said, are you sure you want to go to CA, maybe there is another place she would like to go.  There was a number of places she considered and in the end, she said, California.  Then she went and talked to Lauren about it.  We talked it over, and although Steph will pay for most of it, Lauren & I will save money to.  I might see if I can get a loan from Grandma too. 

So we texted Jackie to ask her if it was ok, and if they had a C.A. or S.A.D in March or April.  They have a S.A.D. on April 21st. So that is when we are going.  We will arrive a day or so before the assembly and that will be the first event on our list.

Being I know they just have 1 car, and we wouldn't all fit, we already plan to rent a car when we are there.  We figure, why not have fun with it and get a convertible.  I've never ridden in one and Steph can't hardly stand the wait to drive it.

So far, from what we have figured out.  We think Sunday, the 4 of us will do a girl's trip, up to San Fransisco,  going to Napa Valley and we will tour a winery.  Lauren will be 21, so she can taste some wines.  I want to find a nice bottle of wine for Leon. 

I really want to see some Redwood trees.  There are some parks nearby too.  We will stay a night or two nights up there, and see some sights.

We also want to see the Hollywood sign, got to Knott's Berry Farms, Lauren wants to go to a science museum. and i figure the day we hang out at the beach we could maybe go on a whale watching cruise.  Hope to see some whales.   At this point those are the highlights.  We figure we will be gone 10-12 days.

We are all so excited.  Jackie is really excited.  We really want to do some girly things, maybe get our nails done and just give Jackie some down time with girls.  She plans to take a full week off of work.

We just have to remember to bring some beef jerky for the guys.
