BLESSED DAY!!!!!

so sometimes i just chilled with one of our birds when i was doing my warm ups. This whole issue, about Lauren moving with my mom... well, we had been praying about what we should do for months now. We knew mom's days were numbered as to how long she could live alone. We prayed and tried to figure out about her moving in with us. But nothing ever worked out for that. So we prayed about her going into an assisted living or getting some other kind of help from the county/state, but she is mortified about being put in a home, and again, nothing worked out for that. Then the girls thought about moving to Superior and having mom move in with them. And again, we couldn't get anything to work out for that. So we prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed. Lauren suggested, what if it was just her and mom moving in together in an apartment in Superior. So we prayed about that. Mom was very willing to cooperate with that, (meaning, she would behave while Lauren was at work). Well, last week, when mom fell and knocked herself out.. the prayers became much more intense and urgent. Personally, I prayed that they find an apartment that would work well for her wheel chair, and that they could get into by May first or sooner and that it would all work out quickly and easily for them . So Lauren and mom did some apartment hunting on line. Then Tuesday when they went to town, they looked at some. Most had really long waiting lists. Then they found one and got a verbal "ok" on. Wednesday Lauren dropped off the paper work. Thursday they called Lauren and said they got the official "thumbs up" for April 1st move in date. Now they are putting new flooring in, so it could be a few days before or a few days after April 1st. The apartment is perfect. There is a ramp up to the door for mom's wheel chair. The laundry site is 20 steps from their door. a nice, clean 2 bedroom apartment with enough room for mom to get around.
So Lauren got that news.
Then at work, (it was more like orientation) Lauren told them she wanted is currently doing schooling for Pharmacy Tech, which made them very excited. They said (good news) when she is close to being done, they would transfer her to the Pharmacy. Then they said (more good news) they would pay for her to get her state certificate. Then she found out (more good news) she might be able to get a scholarship from them to help pay for her schooling. WaaHoo!!!
When she called me, she was so giddy!! I don't blame her. Jehovah just poured out blessing after blessing on her. We are so thankful for those extra blessings. He didn't half to, but after all, our Heavenly Father wanted us to be sure that we knew she has His support in her commitment to carry out her Christian obligation to care for her Grandmother. She is really going out of her way and sacrificing her life. Very Ruth and Naomi situation.
Some more good news is that, although the apartment complex has a no pet policy, management said Lauren can have her fish and birds with her. mom will really enjoy that. We used to have birds when i was a teenager. She would clip their wings so that we could hold them on our hands or shoulders or where ever.
I don't know how many times we prayed about what we could do for mom. What would be in her best interest. How we could help her. And all the ideas we came up with, we could never get to work out. It has been a few years of trying to figure out what to do for her. Well, here is the answer. It just eases my mind that Jehovah will keep an eye on her and make sure she is able to handle this arrangement.
We are just so happy for her.
So, i didn't sleep well, even though it was an awesome day. dealing with a headache from the weather. but also, last night, i did something....can't remember what.. and my wrist snapped 3 times. and it just started hurting more and more. about the only thing i can do today with it is type. i can lift, push, pull, hold or anything else with it. i'm sure it is just tendon problems, cause i have them. so EO is having to do everything... like cut my food and what not. poor guy. at least it is my left hand and not my right.
