Mallard ducks are so pretty.Today EO is hauling my mom's stuff (and some of our stuff) to the auction barn today. We didn't get through everything, but we did take a look and found most of what is left is either stuff that goes in the trash or stuff we keep. We really thinned things down, but both EO & I think we have a lot more stuff we can throw out. We have lots of old bedding. We have thrown out a number of old worn out blankets and sheets, but I have found a few more we can throw out.
I am rather amazed that I don't have as much stuff as I thought I did. Even my sewing stuff. I thought I had tons more than what I have. But I don't, but that is ok, as I just don't sew like I used to. I do miss making our girls little dresses that they can twirl in. *warm fuzzy memories*
EO was gone before I even woke up this morning. Well, he had to go pick up stuff from my mom and be to the auction barn by 10am. So yeah, I don't normally wake up until 9- 9:30. Well, since I was doing better today, I wanted to help him out by doing this dishes this morning. there weren't many, but the dishwasher had to be unloaded, and then loaded. And there were a few pans and what not that needed to be washed. I think I will dust and run the vacuum. the carpet isn't real bad, but with the cats it is good to freshen up the house.
There isn't much I can do, but I do try to help now that it is just the two of us here. Well, when Steph is home on the weekends, she does some cleaning too. But I don't want her to have to do tons, as she needs down time. So she will pick a day and clean for a few hours, or help with laundry or cook or a little of each. While we were gone on our mini trip, she thoroughly cleaned the fridge, which thrilled me. She cleaned A LOT LOT LOT more, but the fridge was kind of nasty. So that was my favorite thing she cleaned.
boring... but i did want to put that in there of how she had the house cleaned for when we got home, because I think I forgot to mention it before. but I was so grateful as then i was so sick after we got back, and it was good knowing the house was clean and I didn't need to worry about it, and i could just focus on getting through my day. In fact, I don't even think I have to dust, it looks pretty good. but i will still run the vac because of the cat hair.
hummm, it has occurred to me, that i have a mini burst of energy. and that means in a hour or two I will start running a fever. well, i better get at it, and use what energy i have now before it is gone. that burst normally lasts about 2 hours, and it has ... not sure how long it has been, but i am thinking at least an hour already. ok, the clock is ticking. i'm off!
