I thought I would post this pic of the progress of the car port that EO is building. It is only about half done. It will run the full length of the garage, with the truck on the back end and Colton's car on the front end. It won't be walled in on the outside of it,... well, maybe someday it will, who knows. We will see how it goes this winter.
We are all a buzz over here after attending the Annual Meeting. We are deeply humbled and thankful for such an opportunity. I would love to put some pics on here and talk about it, but the brothers asked us not to talk about it at all to anyone until after Sunday night, after everyone has had a chance to attend. So I will wait.
My mom made it. It was quite the ordeal for Lauren to go through, as she had to ride along with my mom in the van that transported her to and from the Superior Kingdom Hall. What was extra special was, Hunters Park also was at it with us, so mom got to see the friends not just from her current cong but also her/our old cong. She received so many hugs from the friends. I was so happy for her. But ma sure was a chore for Lauren. I prayed extra that Jehovah helped Lauren to endure and get through the whole ordeal. Lauren had a lot to say when we got home. But she not only managed the adventure she is beaming with joy right now. So I thank Jehovah for that!!! Lauren said for the whole thing ma was just a chatter box, ...a real kid in a candy store, that is for sure! But ma forgot to bring extra pain meds, so she had to make due with what she had. oh well, Jehovah got her through it and when they got back, Lauren helped her change clothes and got her tucked into bed. Lauren sure has a real self sacrificing spirit. If she couldn't have done all she did, ma would have had to miss out.
It was just EO and I ... I can't remember the last time just the two of us went to an assembly/DC/ even like this, alone. Lauren rode with mom, Steph and Colton rode together so they could give Lynnzee a ride home afterwards because her ride had plans, and Lynnz was to sick to go out. We had the coldest and windiest day of the year to have to be up there, but, it was so worth it.
After we grabbed some lunch, EO and I stopped to visit with B&C. We were there about an hour, and then Staelens got there to get them hooked up for the meeting. So for those who couldn't attend in person, they could listen to it over the phone. We enjoyed our visit with B&C. They are both looking forward to hearing the talks and they both seemed to be in a good mood. Carol was tired, but she was in good spirits even though she had a little rougher morning. Her belly is starting to get a little uncomfortable as she is filling up with fluid again, she said it wasn't real bad yet. Her next doc apt is on Thursday and they are going to see about what they can do to help her with that fluid. But she is healing good inside so that is good news. It is just so sad to see her so sick. She just keeps loosing so much weight. With all the negative with her health, she sure is a fine example of hope and courage.
I am so so so so so so tired!!! I didn't feel well this morning, and boy am I wore out now. It was so warm up there at the hall, and warmer in the nursing home. I am so glad I didn't wear the sweater I was planning to wear otherwise I wouldn't have made it. AS it is, loosing all the fluids that I did, my digestive tract is not going to be happy with me. So I will have to work extra hard to get some fluids in me the next couple days.
