The kids were waiting for our anniversary gifts to arrive, and so last night they gave them to us.  I don't have a pic of EO's tie bar, but it has the kid's initials on them.  Then they designed this ring with our names and put their birth stones on it.  Both Lauren and Colton's birth stone is diamond, and Stephs is the rose topaz.  I thought they did an awesome job.  And since it has the whole family on it, I wanted to wear it with my wedding band.  I just love it!

Yesterday Steph and I spent the day together.  She has worked every day, and hasn't been able to see the 3rd Ironman movie yet, but no one else could go with her, so I went.  Then she has been bugged by her roots for the longest time...since she has gone dark.  So we thought maybe she should have her hair lightened.  The thing was, I knew to do that, it would cost alot, and they would have to bleach it, which is horrible for the hair.  Well, she asked the lady at the JCP salon what she would suggest.  And she said the healthiest way (not counting...letting it grow out) would be to half lighten it once, and then in 2 months (just before the DC) to do the other half.  The lady was so awesome, because she matched her natural hair color but at the same time, made it a really pretty color, more like a warm gold to almost caramel color.  I think her hair looks awesome!!!  Steph is really happy with it too!!!  Plus the lady was able to fix her hair so that stupid random layer that the other lady stuck in her hair, is now blended in.  I asked her if she knew of any other hair styles that would work with her type of hair (being extraordinarily thick and super tight curls)  the lady said, sadly, no.  All you can do is super long, mid length (like it is now) or chop it all off, which Steph doesn't want.  Even thinning it like we have been for years isn't enough.  So she is stuck with it.

I got a couple inches off and all my layers cleaned up.  I always have tighter curls right after it drys.  Then by the next day they relax, and so this morning, I was really happy with how it turned out.  I was happy yesterday too, because I knew how it would be.  So now I am set for 6, 8, 10 months or so.

There was a terrible tornado that went by Oklahoma City yesterday.  20+ dead.  So so so sad.  I guess the brothers and sisters have pretty much all been accounted for. I believe the Khalls are still intact but several friends lost their homes.  this is just so sad to see the news reports on.  How wonderful that the Jehovah and Jesus have helped the faithful slave to organize the disaster relief work.  Jehovah is always always always always looking out for us in every way possible.

The ministry work is so vital right now.  This tragic event effects people everywhere in some way, so it is even more important to be out in the ministry these next few days.  I am keeping up with my ministry and Bible reading.  It sure brings me comfort that I have been in serious need of for such a long time.  It really soothes my soul!!!!!

I am super tired today, and it doesn't help that it is raining like crazy either.  But it is greening up so much.  Leave are popping out all over.  But it is kind of cold.  I wouldn't mind a fire, but EO is sleeping and I am sure he doesn't want to have to go out and get wood.

This morning was rough too, because I woke up with acid reflux, YUCK!!  So I will be resting today, no big plans to do anything other than recoup.  I am pretty sure by this evening I will be running a pretty high fever, I can feel it starting already.   So I am going to go find a warm blanket and curl up on the couch for awhile.
