For a number of years now, I've done most of my ministry by letter writing.  Door to door is so hard here, as our whole territory is rural and requires so much driving.  What I miss about living in a city is being able to get out and walk from house to house.  But there is just so little area that we can do that here.  The biggest problem is, Douglas county gets no funds for road repairs.  The condition of the roads are so deplorable, it makes them impossible to ride down.  Well, for me anyway.  every bump, hole & dip makes my body scream in pain.  Just going a mile down county road A, I'm crying the pain is so bad.

So I do letter writing.  I use to write individual letters, but now I have to stick to a form letter, and carefully write one word then double check it before I move to the next word.  Then I go and read it threw twice before I send it.  It has gotten so hard, but I won't give up.  I still get a migraine after writing for an hour.  I try to do it for 30 minutes at a time, that way I don't have to take extra pain pills.

One thing I am excited about, is the other day I got to write to some of Leon's family.  I also got to write to my mom's old boss.  I don't know if anything will ever come of either of those letters, but I sure liked being able to write to them.
