I forgot to mention about our emergency evacuation bags.... so Mom was talking to a Witness family about her finishing up her EEBag, and they laughed at her, saying, "I don't think we will be having a tsunami here".  She said, "No, but what about earth quakes, tornadoes, wildfires,"  She then said, "Plus, the society said we should prepare one".  They laughed again and said when did they say that.  She said, well they have mentioned it at assemblies and in the mags as well. They just dismissed it and moved on.

the thing is, we have talked about it to a number of different bros & sis, so many of them don't remember anything about it. When we showed some the article, they about went into a panic, that they missed this info.  Here I have felt bad, that I didn't have it complete all this time, but how many never even started one because they didn't pay attention to the info.

Well for us now... everything has been ordered.  For $11 (includes shipping) i opted to buy a lot of 12 emergency blankets.  They are thinner, lighter weight and easier to have in a back pack then a regular blanket.  Also, for $12 I got 8 rain ponchos.  Then I noticed in a number of EEBags on the market, face masks were included.  Now mostly I haven't put much stock into what worldly bags have in them, VS what Jehovah's org suggests, but it made me think, with all of my allergies, and my mom's, and Bill's, and Lauren & Stephs.... and on and on, maybe face masks would be a good idea.
However, I could only find boxes of 50 or 100 or 500 and the cost was way out of my budget.  So I thought, I would just dismiss the idea.  So I went a did a couple things, mulling it over in my mind, and saying a little prayer about it, and then went back to the computer, and the very next thing I saw was a box of 50 face masks for $2.80. (and NO shipping).  I was stunned.  I looked it over an over (on Amazon.com) and sure enough, 50 adult face masks (ear loop) and not shipping.  I actually thought, because i had ordered the rain ponchos on Amazon.com, minutes before that maybe that is why I didn't have any additional shipping costs.  Not sure.

So we have enough blankets, ponchos & face masks for us, (including Colton) my mom, & eo's parents.  All were very happy to hear that we had enough for them as well.

I did put some granola bars & protein bars in our bags, as well as oatmeal packets.  Steph & I are the only real oatmeal eaters, but Leon & Lauren are willing since they are easy to make & pack and stay good for a year +.  We plan to pick up a few other food items besides to put in our bags.

I ordered a back pack. as I still don't have one.  I found it on clearance at JCPennys.  I am so glad I can do on-line shopping with them.  It is a huge help.  I also ordered a good pair of walking shoes for Leon, since he really doesn't have anything decent, it is all so worn out.  That Awake article did say to have a good pair of walking shoes.  I also order an extra t shirt for his bag, and a couple for mine.  I think we will be in good shape.
