I have often wanted to have a page for my meeting notes. Mainly it is for main points that really touched me, or are point I need to work on. Most likely this will be used for Sunday meeting, but there may be some from time to time on Tuesday meetings. I don't think I will be putting assembly or convention notes on here, but I may put a few main points from them on here.
If you review this... please forgive me as I am bound to make mistakes in typing out a scripture or comment. I do my best, but I fall short.

For tonight I am only taking notes on our C.O.'s part tonight, since taking notes at night meetings are more than a struggle.
Acquiring an obedient heart, is it possible?

Imagine needing to go through woods, it is challenging. but on the other side is the ocean with a ship that is going to take you to a better place. you have to endure getting through the woods, you are bound to get injured along the way. but it will be worth it when you get to the other side.

Matt 7:28 & 29... when Jesus finished these saying...they were astounded at his way of teaching... it was not like the scribes... it was as a person having authority.
The scribes and pharisees would be all dressed up, standing on street and demanding respect. Jesus didn't behave in that way.

The temps are -30 something below with a -60 something below wind chill factor... so no meeting. Even if anyone could get their car running, keeping it running is another issue and it is just too risky. Hope the temps warm up by the time of the C.O. visit.

2/18/2014 it was announced tonight that some things are changing. From this point on, we will no longer be calling our Conventions, "District Convention". It will now be called "Regional Convention". Also our Circuit Assemblies will no long be 2 days, as of 2015 they will be just one day. And Special Assemblies will also be known as Circuit Assembly. (at least, I think I got this info straight. I was scrambling to find a pen and paper when they were giving this info out. Perhaps they will read it again at the next meeting and I can double check the facts.
1/21/2014 C.O. visit: Even if our heart is out of line at this moment, WE ARE NOT HOPELESS!! We can improve on it, start by developing and deepening our love for Jehovah and he will help us.
